The holidays are upon us once more, Enemaniacs, AKA the dawn of the release of ANOTHER new Star Wars movie! And how should we celebrate such a momentous occasion AGAIN? By watching the never officially released 1978 horrible Star Wars holiday TV special AGAIN of course! After all, its a holiday tradition! Chewbacca and Han are trying to get Chewie back home in time to spend Life Day” with his family, but the Empire has its own holiday hijinks in store for our heroes. Will Bea Arthur be able to stop the imperial soliders from messing up her cantina via poorly composed song and dance? Will Chewie’s wife Malla burn the holiday roast? Will Darth Vader learn the true meaning of Life Day”? You’ll have to come to the next TEC LIVES!! to find out AGAIN!!

Out & In: Pride Comedy Showcase with Nico Santos
Tuesday, June 21
Doors at 7:30pm / Show at 8pm
SIFF Cinema Egyptian (805 E Pine St, Seattle)

Hosted by Nick Sahoyah and Elicia Sanchez
with Special Guests Marita DeLeon, Finn Cottom, Val Nigro, Kathleen Nacozy

$20 General Admission: http://bit.ly/outandincomedy

Out & In returns for it’s 4th annual Pride Comedy Showcase, with the hilarious Nico Santos (Superstore, Chelsea Lately) on Tuesday, June 21 at the Egyptian Theatre. Nico will be joined by hosts Nick Sahoyah and Elicia Sanchez, along with special guests Marita De Leon, Finn Cottom, Val Nigro, Kathleen Nacozy.

Nico Santos was born and raised in the Philippines and now calls the US of A home. Though fresh off the boat, he has assimilated to American culture rather quickly by living in California by way of Portland, Oregon. He started doing stand-up in San Francisco. In just a short amount of time, Nico conquered the Bay Area comedy scene with his acute observations and quirky characters. He touches on his race, family and the queer dynamic among other things. Charming audiences all across the country with his sharp, sarcastic wit and outrageous sensibility, Nico has that rare ability to be crass and snarky while at the same time remaining completely likable. An absolute entertaining blend of silliness, sass and style. The SF Guardian has called him perfectly inappropriate”, continually blurring the lines of what one might expect from him. He has written for E! Network’s Fashion Police and appeared on television for Showtime’s Pride Comedy Jam, Ground Floor, Mulaney and 2 Broke Girls. He was also a regular panelist on Chelsea Lately and made his film debut in Mall Cop: Blart 2. Currently, Nico is known for playing Mateo in NBC’s new hit comedy Superstore with America Ferrera, which has just been renewed for a second season. You can find him on Facebook and follow him on Twitter and Instagram under @nicosantoscomic.

Out & In, the brainchild and baby of host Nick Sahoyah, is dedicated to bringing the best queer comedy to the masses.

The Enematic Cinematic LIVES!!: POCKET NINJAS

Now it’s time for the ultimate challenge, the duel of all duels, the contest that will test your skills, coordination and your strength…

As our weather in Seattle heats up, we here at TEC are sure there is one thing on all of your minds, GLOBAL WARMING. With Al Gore out of the picture, who is going to save us from all the enivitable planetary pollution? Politicians? The Police? Ourselves? NOPE. The only people who can save us now are, you guessed it, POCKET NINJAS! Three young teenagers trained by the White Dragon (that Australian guy from the live action Fist of the North Star movie) gifted with the ninja powers of the elemental elements! Will the Pocket Ninjas be able to defeat the Cobra Khan before they pollute the planet? Will the White Dragon awkwardly become one of their step dads after dating their mom? Did Robert The Face” Z’Dar regret this cinematic decision? You’ll have to come to the next TEC LIVES!! to find out!!

Elicia Sanchez at The Jewelbox Theater

Elicia Sanchez is headlining the Jewelbox Theater with her very first hour long set!

A Seattle-based comedian, writer and comic book reader, Elicia Sanchez has been performing all over the West Coast since 2010. She has been called fearless” by City Arts Magazine, a grumpy nugget of delight, by writer/activist Lindy West, a local favorite, by The Stranger and a brilliant new voice everyone should know, by comedian Hari Kondabolu. Grammy Award winning singer/song-writer Kimya Dawson (The Moldy Peaches, Juno) has cited Sanchez as her favorite underground Northwest comedian’ while W. Kamau Bell, comedian and creator/star of the critically acclaimed FXX series Totally Biased with W. Kamau Bell, once said, Elicia Sanchez is the truth. Elicia has performed at the Bridgetown Comedy Festival, Bumbershoot, Emerald City Comicon and has appeared on NPR, The Bob Rivers Show and the television show The [206].

From Crosscut.com, Elicia Sanchez is a special comedian; with unparalleled storytelling, quick wit and a bubbly demeanor, she can make magic out of any moment. Whether hosting The Moth, doing stand-up or hosting her own show, she’ll have you laughing the whole night and youll want to be her friend. The best advice I can give: Whenever you can see her, go see Elicia Sanchez.

Also featuring special guests, CAITLIN WEIERHAUSER (Portland) and host MARITA DELEON (Seattle)!
