Deck the Halls with Rachel Walls

It’s a one(ish)woman comedy variety show starring Rachel Walls! Join us on a holiday-themed adventure of comedy, songs, sketch, and more! Featuring musical accompaniment by local sketch and improv performer, Elena Martinez, and a very special performance by local legend Emmett Montgomery as Sugarplum Gary. This magical night will be hilarious, innovative, and weird! Try it! You’ll like it!

If you see one comic…make it Rachel Walls, whose relatively calm deadpan exterior belies a filthy sense of humor tempered with feminist sentiment and an excellent gift for one-liners. The Stranger

Emmett Montgomery is a comedian/storyteller who was made in Utah but has lived in Seattle for most of the 21st century and been failing beautifully on and off the stage for over a decade. When he is not wandering the country telling jokes and falling in love with America, he produces local shows that focus on building community, pushing the limits of what it means to be a performer and celebrating the unique beauty of the city he lives in (Weird and Awesome with Emmett Montgomery, The Magic Hat) Emmett was part of the top 100 in NBC’s Last Comic Standing Season 9 (2015) and was voted Seattle Weekly’s Best Comic of 2015 and named one of City Arts Magazines Artists of 2015. Has performed at festivals across the country including the Bridgetown Comedy Festival, Sasquatch Music Festival and the Women In Comedy Festival and can be heard on nationally podcasts like Risk! (storytelling) , Put Your Hands Together (jokes) and Competitive Erotic Fan Fiction (gross) and has worked with famouses and brilliants like Maria Bamford, Dave Chappelle and TJ Miller. Mr. Montgomery tells jokes from his heart, usually his heart is full of hope but sometimes it is full of spiders.

Weird & Awesome w/ Emmett Montgomery – Album Recording Edition!

Piggyback: Stand Up and Improv Unite! 2016

Stand-up comedy and improv are usually two separate types of comedy that you won’t see in the same show, but Unexpected Productions Piggyback brings them both together so you can enjoy two types of comedy in one hilarious night. First, a professional comedian will perform his stand-up routine, then talented improvisation artists will create a narrative story in a particular genre of film or literature. The story created will be inspired by the material from the stand-up act. Piggyback has been featured at Bumbershoot, the Washington Comedy Festival, and the Highlarous Comedy Festival.
