Artist Armory – Interview: Kayla Teel

We had the pleasure of meeting Kayla Teel when she auditioned at the Murder Mystery Company. Since her first day on the job as her train-wreck drunk chick” character, I knew this woman was a comedic genius. Kayla has been a good friend and colleague in the year since, and is a most wonderful addition to the Armory.

See her sketch comedy group Getting Naked with Friends in Sketchy Santa May 20th at 10pm  at The Pocket Theater in Greenwood OR at Late Night Happy Hour at the Ballard Underground, 11pm on Friday, May 27th OR at Sketchfest Fund Fight at 7pm on May 28th over at the Annex theater. They’re everywhere!

Check out her podcast IMPRV News 9 at with Ezra Parter, John Wachter, and so many guests

And check her improv out at Jet City!

Death and Taxes Present: The Royal Wedding

[Performances at the Pocket are $10 online and $14 at the door. Online sales close 4pm day of show.]

Death and Taxes Present: The Royal Wedding, their first full length sketch revue.

Sunday, April 3rd @ 6:30pm & Saturday, April 9th @ 10pm
http://bit.ly/Deathandtaxes

Show Description
The Royal Wedding is marriage between the smart and the stupid, a celebration of dark humor and well intentioned idiots. You will see the elevation of the idiotic and the dumbing down of the brilliant. This show is a festival of the absurd and our love letter to you, the audience.

Featuring
Death and Taxes is Chris Allen and Graham Downing.

w/ Opening sets from: Jason Miller, Feelings & Getting Naket w/ Friends

Producer bio
Death and Taxes is the comedy duo of Chris Allen and Graham Downing. Chris and Graham have been performing together for nearly a decade and have taken the stage in thousands of improv shows. Noticing their similar outlooks and philosophies on comedy, the two teamed up to form Death and Taxes which performs sketch, improv, and whatever else people are willing to allow them to do on stage.

Getting Naked with Friends

Getting Naked with Friends is a sketch group that wears clothes! It’s a rare thing these days, but we do it with pride. In our show, you’ll see sketches that make you laugh, and also other sketches that make you laugh too. The main thing to know? We write funny sketches that cover topics all over the board. Right now we’ve got some in the can about drugs, some about sex, and even some about rock and roll/political dissidence. We don’t know what you’ll see on the 12th yet, but we do know this: If the New York Times reviewed us, they’d say That show was funny AND educational for all ages assuming the kids don’t mind adult language and content.

Featuring
Kayla Teel
Anthony Householder
Elena Martinez
Evan McCarty
Ezra Parter
